What's going on E Good morning. Good morning, Wednesday. Wisdom Wednesdays, we are back. It's weird, man. We, you know, we dropped this, this episode in between our season between our episodes on Sundays, and I've gotten kind of used to having somebody in the production room.
I. Right. So it just caught me off guard right now. Like, oh no, we don't have production. I, I gotta handle it. I gotta handle the production. Right? But look man, let's get in and let's get out, man. We got a lot going on. The week is popping. It's the 1st of May, it's the spring, it's in the air. And we gotta make this thing happen, man.
We gotta make this thing happen. So, Eric, you ready? Go ahead, say something, man. You wanna say something to the people? Nah, no, let's do it. Do it.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, definitely, definitely. We are dropping Wisdom Wednesday three ways today, three ways to take care of your reputation on and offline. [00:01:00] This is a special wisdom Wednesdays, let's be specific. We're talking to our up and coming millennials. We're talking to millennials. We're talking to the millennials.
We the big UNCs, we the old heads in the building. We dropping jewels, we dropping wisdom on Wednesday morning, so this to all our millennials. Listen, here are three ways, three quick and easy ways you could do this today to take care of your reputation. On and offline. Right? And so we do a Jay Leno style, our, our Arsenio Hall style.
We go in reverse order. So we'll start with the number three way by the way. I am the co-host of the Money Sex Gen X podcast. My name is Big Stu. This is the host of the Money Sex Gen X podcast, Mr. Eric McCloy E-Money. Yes, yes, yes, yes, man. With the plan.
Check us out, check us out. Check us out. Number three, way to take care of your reputation on and offline. Number three, way be dependable. Be dependable. Be [00:02:00] dependable, brother. Man. Man, that's a big one. That's a big one. Be dependable, man. That's one of those things, I feel like people will hear that and be like, I've heard that a million times, man.
I've heard that a million times. But it's, you might have heard it a million times, but it, it is something that we, we all can overlook at times, you know? And I even think it's man, it's not. Look we so quick to talk about how other people ain't reliable, bro. Think about all the times you done pulled out on some stuff, man.
No doubt. And look, I'm a reliable dude, but there's some people I know. I just can't call. I just can't call. I just can't call on man. It's just some people I know that I don't even, I, I know they reputation. Nah, they going, they got the tendency to flake. They say they do. So they gonna do something. They not gonna do it.
They not gonna do it. They be lying. They gonna come up with some excuse. Yep. They gonna gimme an excuse. It's like, nah, man. You got those [00:03:00] people out there. I don't know why they do it. Damn, do it. Be dependable, man. Get your assignment in on time. Get the project done. Just just be, be where you say you going to be.
He was one that I learned through the, in the social media environment real quick, being dependable, even in the social media space. So I learned from a lot of people like being consistent with the code. Consistent. Yeah. Man. You know, having a, a sort of sphere that you operate in online and being dependable and reliable with that.
So, yeah. Online too. Yeah, man. Yeah, man. Yeah, man. Be dependable online. Be consistent. Be reliable, be consistent. Number two way we, we, we rushing through this. We're not rushing, but we going, we, we zooming through it. 'cause we got stuff to do today. It's Wednesday, it's hump day. No doubt. Number two way to improve your, to protect your reputation on and offline is to practice what you [00:04:00] preach.
Man, man, man, man. Now that's one I've had trouble with sometimes. Woo. We all feel like we practice what we preach, but man, you know, when you have kids, they'll be the quickest ones to tell you, dad, you said Dad, you said so. Yeah. You gotta, you gotta, sometimes that takes a little bit of a microscope on yourself to make sure you're doing that, bro.
I remember my early days of teaching entrepreneurship in Chicago public schools, I remember all the times that I felt imposter syndrome. Because I was teaching entrepreneurship, but I was not being an entrepreneur. Right. I was coming to work every day. My, my main income was relying on being an employee.
I. So I, I was not even practicing what I was preaching. There you go. There you go. Right. Take some work. It takes some work and I, I think a lot of times we, we, even in all the work that I do right now, man, I try to make sure [00:05:00] that I'm only speaking about what I'm being about or doing about. Mm-hmm. You know, I'm not, I'm not projecting my future idea self.
In my right now, moments. I mean, I, I am, but I'm, I'm, I'm better about not, you know, making sure that I'm practicing what I preach. There's an old saying, my mother told me, I remember the shoemaker's children have no shoes. Hmm. The shoemaker's children have no shoes. Shoe make shoes for, they make shoes for everybody else but their own children.
Don't have to. You have to practice what you preach, take care of yours before you start casting a stone. Look at yourself. Yeah. And word practice is very important in that stew practice. You know the old saying, practice makes perfect. So, hey, if you're out there right now and you're not practicing what you're preaching, it's okay.
You got time. Yeah, you do practice. Put in that daily. That's what makes you better day being consistent. [00:06:00] There you go, day to day. All right, day to day, and here's the number one. Here's the number one, number one, number one, number one. Number three was be dependable, be reliable. Number two was practice what you preach.
The number one way of the top, three ways to protect your reputation on and offline is to let your actions speak louder than your words. It's one of my favorite, favorite, favorite sayings, and it's a real thing, not always easy. Another one of those things that's not always easy, but hey, the more the less you talk is easy, the better it is for you.
Most times. Well, well, here, here it is. See, success actually is quiet. You know, money is quiet. You know, I'm learning this E, the more I bring in, the less I'm, you know. To talk about it. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. Unless you should. Right. But the, the [00:07:00] I'm letting you see when you on top, other people speak it for you.
You don't have to say it. You don't have to prove it. You don't have to, you don't have to try to convince nobody of the success or you know what you're doing. You know, you may have, you know, you just don't, you don't have to. You'll, you'll let your reputation speak for you. Your reputation will precede you.
You, you, a standup guy. Everybody said you're a standup person. Everybody says it. Yeah. You're reliable. They count on you. They call on you. They know they can count on you. They know that you gonna do what you say you going to do. Right. We talked about that on the high value man episode. Even in small things like talking about what school you went to and what kind of house you got.
The people. The people know what you got going on. There's no need to do all that. Yeah. Yeah. So those are it, man. Those are it to all of our nieces and nephews. Children and grandchildren. Mm-hmm. Because we in all of that, man, our generation. Got kids and grandkids. No, the same age. [00:08:00] Yeah. The kids and their grandkids the same age.
I'm glad I don't have any grandkids yet. I'm glad I don't have any yet either please. But hey, three ways to take care of your reputation today. You can practice this today. Be dependable, number three. All right. Be dependable and reliable. Number two, practice what you preach, man. Look, you gonna complain about somebody else.
Make sure your shit is in order. There you go. Practice what you preach. And the number one way of the top three ways is to, don't say nothing. Let your actions speak. Let it show up. Do the work. Be consistent. Be dope. You know, be on top of it. Just let the work show, let the let the work show, show. Let the work show.
I like. That's tshirt. Oh, speaking of t-shirts, we dropped a new t-shirt. We dropped a new t-shirt at the Money Sex Gen X store. Let me, let me show it if I can before we get outta here. 'cause we gotta go man, we gotta go but T-shirt is fire y'all. I'm gonna tell you that [00:09:00] right now before he even pulls it up.
Fire. Lemme see. Fire. Let me see. Do we have it right here? Is this it? Yeah, I think this is it. We, this comes outta a Wisdom Wednesday. Ease into eating better. We have this version of it. Ease into eating better. Hashtag money, sex Gen X. We got the mug with the red piping black with that black one out. Woo.
We got this one. These, we got the champion tea. Killing it. Ease into eating better. I gotta have it. I gotta have, gotta have and look. This Champion and Wisdom Wednesday Tea starts at $30 and 50 cents, bro. Do I need that today? Go cop. Go. I'm gonna cop with you, man. I'm gonna cop, I'm a cop. We gonna match.
I'm gonna cop our e ease into eating better tea. We're gonna cop these shirts, man. Go cop. Go cop, man. I got, that's what it's, Hey, before we get outta here, I wanna make sure everybody's aware we got this episode coming up Sunday. [00:10:00] There's gonna be really, really informative and fun. We're gonna make it fun.
10 things that they don't tell you. About real estate. Why not? Yep. Whoa, man. And I am in the market for some stuff right now. I'm looking, trying to get some stuff together right now. So very informative edition. I'm looking forward to it. I got a roll e man. I got some things to do. Love the sweater. I love the sweater, man.
